 On 12th July 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) at Priyadarshini Institute of Science and Technology for Women organized an enriching industrial visit to the Infosys Campus. This visit provided students with a firsthand glimpse into the workings of one of the leading global IT giants, fostering a deeper understanding of the corporate world and modern technologies.

 special interactive session was conducted by senior professionals at Infosys. The session covered topics like:

  • Emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing.
  • Current trends in software development.
  • Career opportunities in the IT sector and skills required for success.

The students had the opportunity to interact with experienced professionals and ask questions about career paths, industry challenges, and technological advancements

Hackathon Inaugural - 2k24

The Priyadarshini Institute of Science and Technology for Women proudly inaugurated its much-awaited Hackathon on 6th December 2024. This event aimed to ignite innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students, encouraging them to develop technological solutions to real-world challenges.

Objective of the Hackathon:

  • To enhance coding, critical thinking, and teamwork skills among students.
  • To provide a platform for young minds to develop innovative solutions using emerging technologies like AI, IoT, Blockchain, and Data Science.
  • The hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across multiple disciplines, forming diverse teams.

    Each team was assigned a unique problem statement and given 24 to 48 hours to develop a working prototype.

    The hackathon encouraged collaborative learning and provided students with an opportunity to showcase their problem-solving abilities.

    Prototypes and solutions developed by students were evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.
